Antiques on the Square

Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday May 23, 2009 - 8 AM to 4 PM - Rain or Shine
You're invited to an outdoor antique dealers' market place along the historic, tree-lined streets of Downtown Bedford, Pennsylvania. Bedford County is no stranger to antiques.. we have several antique malls and several dozen individually owned antique shops throughout the county. You'll find that we have a great range of antiques and collectibles at reasonable prices!

Vendor Information
  • Antiques only! No reproductions or new items may be displayed.
  • Dealers must be set up by 8 am.
  • Dealers must have their vehicle(s) and trailer(s) out of the "vendor display area" by 7:45 am
  • Because of the ongoing Court House construction, parking will be in the public lot and will be first-come first-serve.
  • No packing before 4:00 pm
  • Dealers must furnish their own table(s) and/or tent(s).
  • Dealers may not assign or sublet any part of booth.
  • Spaces are $65.00 each (20 ft. wide by 10 ft. deep)
  • We highly recommend bringing a tent...this event will take place rain or shine.
  • The Borough of Bedford or Downtown Bedford, Inc. shall not be responsible for any damage by fire, theft, breakage, or act of God, should any occur.
  • Dealer set up time is 5:00 am until 8:00 am on Saturday only!!! (allow time for expected traffic jams from other vendors when unloading in the "vendor display area."
  • Vendor booth number and parking permit will be provided via mail the first week in May.
  • All contracts are to be returned by the deadline of May 1, 2009. Although DBI does its best to accommodate specific requests, they cannot guarantee dealers the same space each year! Priority will be given to dealers with space requests by order of receipt or your application.
  • All cancellations must be made in writing by May 1, 2009.... there will be no refunds after this date.

Arts on the Square

Downtown Bedford, Inc. and the Bedford County Arts Council are pleased to announce the fifth annual Arts on the Square. Creators of fine arts and crafts, as well as musicians, are desired for this July 6, 2008 event. Details are as follows:
  • The festival will begin at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm.
  • It will be located on the Presbyterian Church quadrant of the Square.
  • Set-up should be completed by 9:30 am.
  • Artists must have their vehicle(s) out of the "vendor display area" by 9:30 am.
  • Convenient parking will be available in the parking deck.
  • No packing before 4:00 pm.
  • Artists must furnish their own tables, tents, and/or display systems.
  • Musicians will be assigned specific times so as not to conflict with church services and The Pennsylvania Consort's afternoon concert.
  • Art demonstrations are encouraged and tremendously appreciated!
  • The Borough of Bedford, Downtown Bedford, Inc. and the Bedford County Arts Council shall not be responsible for any damage by fire, theft, breakage or act of God, should any occur.
  • Artist's fee: $35. per 10' x 10' space, or $20. per artist for shared booths.

Farmers' Market

Downtown Bedford, Inc. is pleased to sponsor the Farmers' Market which operates every Wednesday, beginning May 26th through mid-October at the Fort Bedford Park. The market is open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Local vendors are providing fresh product, plants and much more! Plenty of free parking is available. Come join us!
