Fall Festival, organized entirely by volunteers, draws an estimated 70,000 visitors to Bedford over both weekends. There are activities and entertainment for folks of all ages. A variety of musical entertainment is offered along with parades, a juried arts exhibit, a quilt show and sale, a fall foliage Queen contest, antique car parade, children's activities and more. Most activities are free to the public, unless otherwise noted. We love pets, but please leave them at home.

Crafts & Demonstrations
Browse and shop in over 400 crafts booths lining the streets and the square in Bedford and in Fort Bedford Park. Artisans display an array of handcrafted work - pottery, woodworking, painted sweatshirts, dolls, baskets, dried flower arrangements, and wreaths. Watch as creations come alive in demonstrations of techniques in painting, woodcarving, and quilting.

Whatever your style, you can find handcrafted furnishings, accessories and decorations to personalize your home and yard.

Quilt Show

Admire the hundreds of traditionally inspired, contemporary, and antique quilts in this competitive showcase. The area's finest needle workers display their craftsmanship and artistry in this annual exhibition presented by the Pioneer Historical Society at the Bedford High School on John Street.

Whether you are looking for that one-of-a-kind quilt for your bedroom, a decorative wall hanging, or for inspiration for your own creative work.

Fine Arts
Visit the historic Anderson House on Pitt Street to view the indoor juried fine arts exhibition. This gallery show features works by regional artists, sculptors, and photographers. Presented by the Bedford County Arts Council, it is held on the first floor on the Bedford County Arts Center.

Take time to stroll through the downtown shopping area and enjoy our many specialty shops, eateries, antique malls and shops, and fall window displays.

Entertainment
Each day of the Festival, enjoy the sounds of familiar country tunes and sultry blues, toe-tappin' bluegrass and southern rock... or let the oldies lead you down memory lane.
